Saturday, March 7, during the “Women’s Evening” organized by the CANDELA association, three groups of young artists will perform at the Nikaïa Palace in Nice. Due to this special occasion, all the singers are women showcasing their talents to the people of Nice.
The first is Zine, winner of Défi Jeunes in 2003 and La Ruche in 2008. An expert in unraveling the threads of life, she sings about happiness with a talent for emotional provocation.
The second group of the evening will be Damek. Founder of Trouba’tour, she has participated in the Francofolies Festival, opening for Axel Bauer. She creates and performs her songs with rock, bossa, reggae, and funk vibes…
The third artist will be Ma Saisara. She won the Paris Jeunes Talents award (2004/2005), was selected for the Talents Nuits du Sud, the Off Nice Jazz Festival, and the Visa Francophone in 2008. This singer-songwriter evolves in a world of soul, blues, jazz, African chants, Yiddish, and Oriental songs.
Numerous free activities will also be offered during the evening such as Henna and romantic calligraphy by the artist “Mounia”, an exhibition and video projection presenting the adventure of Trouba’Tour organized by the artist Damek, and an exhibition of poems by the artist Zine (etc.).
What is “06 en live”?
“06 en live” is an initiative created to benefit the young population of Alpes-Maritimes through studies on the cultural preferences of the youth, highlighting the importance of music. Some local associations had also expressed the desire to have a medium-sized venue for contemporary music concerts. In 2008, “06 en Live” facilitated the organization of 18 concerts at the Nikaïa Palace, where nearly 7,500 spectators attended the shows.
