Each year, in the month of March, classes of all levels and from all disciplines participate in the Press and Media Week at school.
The goal? Media and information literacy establish themselves as a teaching of pluralism, freedom of opinion, freedom of expression, and respect for democratic debate.
In this period where new technologies allow information to be disseminated without control, it is of utmost importance that young people have the knowledge to understand what is presented to them.
The theme “Where does the info come from” raises the right question. Between information and misinformation, between the true and the false, how can one find their way? Between the objectivity of facts and the subjectivity of opinions, how can one exercise critical judgment?
This is the role of Clemi (Center for Liaison of Education and Media Information), a service of the Canopรฉ network, which is committed to implementing this educational project in schools with the proper support of web media teachers.
If nearly 90% of middle and high schools are registered for the 2017 session, many maintain activity in this sector throughout the year.
Institutions can become creators and producers of a school media outlet; to this end, the Clemi of the Nice Academy has set up a “turnkey kit” aimed at removing all constraints related to creating an online media.
