talents-cites.jpg Talents des Cités is co-organized by the National Agency for Social Cohesion and Equal Opportunities (Acsé), the Caisse des Dépôts, and BGE (formerly Boutiques de Gestion), with support from the General Secretariat of the Interministerial Committee on Cities, in partnership with the National Agency for Urban Renewal (Anru), the SFR Foundation, Société Générale, Groupe Casino, GDF SUEZ, the Safran group, FinanCités, the Club XXIe siècle, the Regional Daily Press (SPQR), Public Sénat, and France Télévisions.

All the partners of Talents des Cités have designated 9 national winners.

Each will receive 7,000 euros and will be sponsored by the competition’s partners. Among the 9 national winners, 5 are in the “Creation” category: they created their business or activity between January 2008 and December 2010, and 4 are in the “Emergence” category: they have a business or association project.

Albert GASORE and Jérémy GRAVIERE, as well as Linda SENOUSSAOUI, are now competing for one of the two Grand Prizes 2011: the “Grand Prix Talents des Cités” and the “Special Mention,” each worth 5,000 euros.

On October 20, 2011, the honorary jury will interview the 9 national winners to designate the two grand prizes to be announced during the official awards ceremony, in the Senate’s hemicycle, on Saturday, October 22.

Albert GASORE and Jérémy GRAVIERE for GREENCONCESS

National winners of Talents des Cités 2011, in the Creation category
Sponsored by Société Générale
Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Nice (06), L’Ariane District
Activity: Car and clean vehicle rental (electric and hybrid)

With a DUT in Administrative and Commercial Management and an MBA in commerce and entrepreneurship from Napier University in Edinburgh, Albert GASORE (24 years old) worked for two months in a car rental company. Still a student, he decided to create a car and clean vehicle rental company (electric and hybrid). In March 2010, Sarl GREENCONCESS was established in the district of L’Ariane where Albert CASORE lives. For him, it is a double challenge: “On a personal level, it is the happy culmination of a journey that started in Rwanda in 1994, going through adolescence and schooling in the sensitive district of L’Ariane. On a professional level, we are thus participating in our generation’s environmental challenge.”

His three partners are complementary. After a degree in philosophy, Sciences Po and HEC, Gilbert GATORE (28 years old) takes charge of communication and development. With a degree in Administrative and Commercial Management, and Management, Jérémy GRAVIERE (23 years old), is in charge of the Commercial Service. Clément BORDES (23 years old), who holds a degree from the Higher Institute of Accounting Studies, is responsible for administration and accounting.

GREENCONCESS offers two services to individuals and businesses in the PACA region: Greenrent and Greenleasing. The Greenrent service allows you to have the latest generation of clean vehicles as soon as you get off the train, plane, or directly delivered to your home. Greenleasing offers cost-effective solutions among the cleanest vehicles on the market to renew your car fleet. It is a concrete solution to the business travel plan issue. “We need to change our transportation habits. It’s not the easiest decision to make, but one of the most important. Renting clean vehicles is a way for everyone to participate in preserving the planet and saving on travel costs.”

The partners are ambitious. Without direct competition, their company can be a leader in the 100% clean vehicle offering. They organize partnerships locally and nationally, like with ADEME. They aim to quickly increase from 2 to 5 jobs and create a national franchise network of green vehicles.

Linda SENOUSSAOUI for the ASSOCIATIVE ANIMATION CENTER

National winner of Talents des Cités 2011, in the Emergence category
Sponsored by GDF SUEZ
Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Marseille (13)
Activity: Leisure center (without accommodation)

Originally from Paris, Linda SENOUSSAOUI (30 years old) moved to Marseille in 2000. Holding a State Diploma of Youth, Popular Education, and Sports Leader since 2005, she specialized as a school and out-of-school district animator. Since 2009, she has been a volunteer trainer for volunteers heading and directing group activities for minors in the CEMEA (Centers for Active Education Methods Training). Unemployed, she decided to set up an innovative project in Marseille that meets a real human need and provides services for everyone.
Linda SENOUSSAOUI will open the ASSOCIATIVE ANIMATION CENTER in January 2012. She is supported by ESIA in her approach, and is still looking for a location in the up-and-coming La Joliette neighborhood, in the 2nd arrondissement of Marseille.

The ASSOCIATIVE ANIMATION CENTER will be the first inter-company ALSH (Reception of Leisure Without Accommodation) in France, also open to neighborhood residents to improve working conditions for employees and family structures.

It will accommodate children aged 3 to 12, like an open air center, every Wednesday and during school holidays, as well as in the morning before school and in the evening after school. It will also be a place where parents and children can practice different sports (yoga, dance, fitness…) and leisure activities (fun activities) throughout the year. Debate workshops led by professionals will offer support for parental function, social diversity, etc.
“Our project is to open a place of sharing, exchange, citizenship, listening, conviviality, learning, and social diversity.” A winner of the Talents des Cités award, Linda SENOUSSAOUI wants to “pass on the desire to undertake.”.
