The opening of the Running Expo village allowed for a checkpoint on the Marathon set to take place this Sunday on the Nice-Cannes course.
In total, there will be 13,330 participants starting at 8:00 am on Sunday. 59 nations will be represented, with 26% of the participants being international.
Moreover, this year the event once again benefits from the IAAF bronze label, a guarantee of quality and recognized expertise on an international scale.
This year, after last year’s experience which saw the start moved to the National Sports Museum, tradition will return with the Promenade des Anglais in Nice serving as the backdrop for the starting gun of the race.
This year, the organizers of the Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes Marathon are delighted to welcome Yuki KAWAUCHI, the Japanese running star. This marathoner, who is a genuine star in his country, boasts an impressive record with 70 marathons run under 2h20โ, including 40 under 2h14โ and 10 marathons under 2h10โ.
The village and stands will allow participants and their companions to meet with equipment suppliers, tourism offices, or race organizers in France and abroad.
As every year, around a hundred runners registered for the Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes Marathon are expected to be present to participate in the traditional Breakfast Run this Saturday at 10:00 am in front of the Running Expo Marathon village.
