Nature Hike on the theme: cliff birds
On Sunday, October 9, the twelfth edition of the Gorbio Trail will take place, marking the 10th stage of the “Trail Nature 06 Challenge”.
7 a.m.: bib collection,
8 a.m.: start of the Trail, 42 km, with a positive elevation gain of 2895 meters. This is a qualifying event for the Mont Blanc Ultra Trail 2012,
9:30 a.m.: start of the Family Hike on the Trail Challenge course,
10:30 a.m.: start of the Discovery Trail, 16 km, with a positive elevation gain of 900 meters,
All starts will be from the Orme in the center of the village.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: the Nature Hike on the theme: cliff birds.
Meet at the General Council stand with a departmental parks service agent to discover the birds and other animals of cliff environments, and learn to recognize them by their songs, tracks, and other indicators. Duration: from 1 hour to 1 hour 30.
2:30 p.m., award ceremony for the Discovery Trail,
4:30 p.m., award ceremony for the Trail.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: information on the Handisport 06 program, Randoxygène guides, carpooling, selective sorting, and the theme of Sustainable Development with:
• free electric bike loans! registration at the General Council stand,
• Signing of My Nature Tree… and your commitment to the eco-citizen charter “the Trail, my Nature”: I am, I share, I act, I commit…I sign My Nature Tree!”
From the balconies of the Mediterranean to the volcanic rocks of the Estérel, passing through the Baou de Saint-Jeannet, the midland with the Paillon valley, the Audibergue plateau, and the Mentonnais area, the highland with the Gordolasque and Roya valleys to the snowy slopes of Castérino, this 4th edition of the “Trail Nature 06 Challenge”, organized in partnership with the Commission Départementale des Courses Hors Stade (CDCHS), offers sports courses in exceptional natural sites of our department, with a spirit of respect and promotion of this environment: 11 events in 2011 with 17 races on the program.
