The General Council is organizing, in partnership with the Departmental Sailing Committee, the National School Sports Union (U.N.S.S.), and the Sailing Sports Association of their college, the Final of the 19th edition of the School Trophy.
110 students from 17 colleges in the Alpes-Maritimes
This competition will bring together no fewer than 110 students from 17 colleges in the Alpes-Maritimes.
These students, divided into 26 teams, will defend their title at the helm of large and small catamarans, and optimists.
School Trophy
Let us recall that the School Trophy was created in 1993 following the Sailing Plan initiated in 1991.
Within this framework, training sessions are organized every Wednesday afternoon throughout the school year in the 7 sailing bases of the department. As a result of these sessions, 3 meetings were organized to select the finalists.
During the 2009/2010 school year, more than 6,300 students from 8th and 9th grades from 48 colleges were able to practice sailing during Physical Education and Sports hours.
