Founded 35 years ago, the Chamber of Real Estate Experts of France FNAIM is a national professional organization representing real estate experts. It gathers more than 700 professionals, all members of the National Real Estate Federation (FNAIM), who carry out their missions in metropolitan France as well as in the Overseas Departments.
In the absence of regulation of the profession in France, the Chamber of Real Estate Experts of France FNAIM ensures the strict adherence to the ethical rules of the profession and defends the common values of its members, based on impartiality, rigor, a sense of nuance, professional conscience, expertise, humility, and common sense.
What is a real estate expert? A real estate valuation expert is a specialist in the art of evaluating the various rights of which real estate assets are the basis.
The expert clarifies the situation of a property within all its contextual elements and at a specific time. They intervene for the purpose of portfolio valuation: institutional investors or at the request of private clients as part of a transfer for consideration or as a gift (sale or donation), in the context of property division, inheritance, in dealings with the tax administration for ISF calculations, for the valuation of building structures or the calculation of eviction indemnity and the evaluation of the rental value of commercial premises.
