This event will bring together more than 70 sea skiffs and nearly 200 rowers in a prestigious setting: the Baie des Anges in Nice, bordered for 5 km by the famous Promenade des Anglais for the 2nd Criterion of Nice, and the magnificent bay of Villefranche and its imposing Cap Ferrat for the 13th edition of the Discovery of the Caps.

Saturday, December 4, 2010, from 2 PM to 5 PM.

With its two timed races (at 2 PM, the 6 km women’s and mixed series, and at 3:30 PM, the 8 km men’s series), this event will be part of the rankings for the Mediterranean Rowing Championship open to all clubs wishing to compete. This criterion will thrill fans of strong emotions.

13th edition of the Discovery of the Caps
Sunday, December 5, 2010, from 9 AM to 12 PM.

This morning will be dedicated to a peaceful and touristic Rowing Adventure. This event, roughly twenty kilometers long, allows participants to discover or rediscover the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer, the coast of Cap Ferrat, and the port of Saint Jean, near Nice.

24 Hours of Non-stop Rowing for the Telethon 2010

The Nautical Club of Nice is participating in the Telethon 2010, from Friday, December 3 at 6 PM to Saturday, December 4 at 6 PM.
Facing the Jardin Albert 1er (south sidewalk of the Promenade des Anglais), around a hundred adult and adolescent rowers from Nice schools will take turns on an “ergometer” rower for the “24 hours of Rowing,” attempting to break the record of 322 km set last year.
