Despite a tenacious Nantes team, Nice managed to take the lead at the end of the first set (21-18) before securing a definitive advantage (25-23).
The Nantes team started the 2nd set with a bang and were the first to reach the 10-point mark (6-10). Nonetheless, Kasic’s men managed to turn the tide, thanks in large part to numerous technical errors by the players of NRMV (25-22).

Nantes, with nothing left to lose, began to take the upper hand and capitalized by snatching the set right under NVBโs nose. (22-25)
This should have just been a setback for the team from Nice. However, Nantes, now full of confidence after this comeback, dominated their opponent from the start of the 4th set (1-6).
Nice, nevertheless, managed to catch up (13-13) but ultimately fell significantly short (19-25).
Nice had already lost at least one point. At this moment, the victory became more important from a psychological standpoint than from a scoreboard perspective.
