This Thursday, October 10, 2013, at 10:30 AM at Fort de la Revรจre in รze, Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, will launch the 13th monitoring campaign for migratory birds in the Departmental Natural Park (PND) of the Grande Corniche, in the presence of Mrs. Michรจle Pinguet, Vice-President of the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO) France, and Yvonne Delepine, administrator of the LPO PACA.
LPO PACA, in partnership with the General Council, allows visitors to the PND of the Grande Corniche to understand the migratory monitoring of different species. From August 29 to November 8, 2013, a team composed of employees and volunteers will raise awareness of the bird flows passing through the region by organizing a migration camp on site. Optical equipment suitable for the observation of birds arriving on the horizon is made available to the public.
During this launch, the partners will present new tools for public awareness about migratory birds, and two birds of prey will be released.
On this occasion, 58 students from 3 primary school classes (CM1, CM2, and CLIS), from the Saint Jean du Cannet school, will be present.
