36 victims of the Nice attack on July 14, 2016, had already received this recognition last November. 14 are recognized this time, 3 of them posthumously.
Published in the Official Journal, the second “collective promotion” of this medal, created following the attacks of 2015, concerns victims of six terrorist acts committed in France and one abroad since 2007.
To receive this medal, one must be recognized as a victim of terrorism either by the Paris prosecutor’s office, by the victims’ guarantee fund, or appear on the shared list of victims of terrorism maintained by the Ministry of Justice.
