Organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Nice in collaboration with the Committee for Italian Linguistic and Cultural Activities (Co.A.L.C.It.), the competition’s theme explores a journey through the imagination of young generations residing in France who, in various ways, maintain contact with Italy. The award ceremony will take place during the celebrations on June 2, 2011 (Italian Republic Day).
Participation Details
The competition is open to young people aged 6 to 14, enrolled in a French school within the territory of the Consulate General of Italy in Nice.
There are two competition categories:
1st Category: Students aged 6 to 10 – primary cycle classes
2nd Category: Students aged 11 to 14 – secondary cycle classes
Presentation of the Works
Each participant may submit only one paper-based work (A4 sheet), on which they will develop the theme “An Italian Story,” using images (drawing, collage, photos…) and text in Italian (maximum of 50 words).
Along with the work, an enclosed sheet in a sealed envelope should include:
a) the student’s first and last name,
b) date of birth and phone number,
c) school and class attended,
d) the name of the teacher who coordinated the work.
The works must be submitted no later than May 14, 2011, to the following address: Consulate General of Italy – 72, Boulevard Gambetta – 06000 Nice
The envelopes containing the works must be marked with: “CONCORSO STORIA ITALIANA”
A special committee will choose the three best works for each of the two competition categories.
