It’s official, registration for the 15th edition of the Prom’Classic, the first 10 km race in France, has been open since last October 4th. For the second consecutive year, registrations will be limited to 7,000 runners and no more.
As in previous years, the competitors will have the privilege to run by the sea, on the full length of both lanes of the Promenade des Anglais with a turnaround at Nice Côte d’Azur airport.
Since last year, all runners start together on the northern lane for a return on the southern lane at exactly 10:00 am, with a wave start (5 waves: Box 1: under 35’, Box 2: under 45’, Box 3: under 51’, Box 4: exclusively for women, and Box 5: 51’ and over) based on their reference time. The course record has been held since 2007 by Moroccan Saïd TBIBI in 28’38”. Among the women, French Christelle DAUNAY broke the record in 2013 with 32’26”.
Starting next November 30th, all Prom’Classic registrants can meet every Saturday morning at 10:00 am on the Promenade des Anglais as part of the Prom’Classic Running Meetups to perfect their running techniques, coached by passionate runners.
The day before the event, the traditional Jogging Breakfast will welcome all competitors of this 15th edition to warm up one last time before the big day by running part of the course in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
