The Prom’Classic, the unmissable first 10 km race in France, will celebrate its 16th edition on January 11th. A classic in the world of running that has been sold out for years. And this new edition is no exception to the rule.
Indeed, the Prom’Classic has reached an unprecedented attendance record, as more than three weeks before the event, registrations are now closed, having reached this year’s set limit of 8,500 bibs.
A new participation record for this 16th Prom’Classic!
The figures for this 16th edition
75% of the competitors come from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, including 65% from the Alpes-Maritimes department.
Although the vast majority of competitors come from the French territory (all departments of the country are represented), it is noteworthy that the event still records nearly 10% of international competitors, a notable achievement for this first 10 km race in France. Unsurprisingly, due to geographical proximity, Italy leads, followed by the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
It should be noted that female participation in this event is steadily increasing since 36% of the participants this year are women.
