At only 21 years old, Nastasia Noens is preparing to compete in her first Olympic Games. She will be starting in the slalom on Friday on the Whistler course. Ranked 18th in the world cup for the specialty and recently 8th in Flachau, the Nice native will not be a favorite.
But in a one-day race, a feat is always possible. The young skier won a beautiful silver medal at the European Championships in Amneville against top skiers like Katrin Zettel and Denise Karbon. Behind the team leader Sandrine Aubert, Nastasia Noens will have her chance to shine. On the schedule: two runs of special slalom, with the times combined.
Let’s hope she will proudly represent the colors of Nice in Vancouver. Beyond the result, the most important thing is to give it all to avoid any regrets.
