-The FIRST ORGAN Concert will take place
On SUNDAY, JANUARY 23, 2011, AT 3:30 PM
at St. Paul’s Church, 28 Avenue Pessicart in Nice.
This first concert of the 2011 series will allow us to hear Mr. JEAN-CHARLES ABLITZER, the organist of the historic organ at the Belfort Saint Christophe Cathedral.
The concert will be performed on the 2 SCHWENKEDEL organs and will feature works by SWEELINCK, BOEHM, BUXTEHUDE, and BACH.
-The SECOND ORGAN concert will take place
On SUNDAY, JANUARY 30, 2011, AT 3:30 PM on the feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul
This second concert will have the special feature of including the blessing ceremony of the new MUTIN-CAVAILLE COLL organ, recently installed in the church, followed by the inaugural concert.
The blessing will be conducted by Monsignor TERRANCLE, vicar general.
At the organ, we will hear Mr. LOUIS ROBILLIARD, the principal organist of the great Cavaillé-Coll organ at Saint François de Sales Church in Lyon, performing works by BACH, FRANCK, WIDOR, FAURE, BOELLMANN, and VIERNE.
