An excellent sporting event set in the Palais Nikaïa in Nice with over 1100 attendees, the PACA Regional Sports Awards honor each year sporting achievements, the values of defending and promoting the sporting spirit, as well as sportsmanship and solidarity.
“Through its 7th Sports Grand Prix, the PACA Region reaffirms its support for the entire regional sports movement and its commitment to developing sports accessible to all. By pursuing this objective, the Region leads a proactive sports policy that places our Region among the most athletic in France,” said Michel Vauzelle.
Add to these remarks those of Michel Masseglia, the president of the National Olympic and Sports Committee: “We have replaced the infamously sad AAA rating with another that is more interesting in my view: PPP, which stands for Project, Sharing, and Performance. These are the three axes with which the sports movement must measure itself to fully play its role.”
This year, the Grand Prix du Sport had two exceptional patrons: Christine Schoenn (wheelchair tennis) and Gilles Bertran de Balanda (equestrian), both top-level athletes and great champions in their respective disciplines.

– Grand Prix of the Regional Council: Sixtine Malaterre (canoeing), Yannick Agnel (swimming)
– High School Sports Grand Prix: Mixed team from Lycée Saint-Joseph, Ollioules
– Best Hope Prize: Charlotte Bonnet (swimming), Tanguy Citron (Badminton)
– Best Team Prize: ES Villeneuve-Loubet (weightlifting) and Cannes-Mougins (golf)
– Excellence Prize for Best Leader: Marie-Marguerite Trifogli (basketball) and Lucien Simon (rugby)
– Excellence Prize for Best Educator: Alexandre Farrugia (wheelchair basketball)
– Excellence Prize for Refereeing: Aurélie Efe (football) and Karina Puveland (karate)
Excellence Prize for Young Referee: Aude Bongiorni (rowing)
Special Jury Grand Prix: Lycée Dumont d’Urville – Toulon
Regional Olympic Movement Prize: Camille Muffat (swimming)
