2014 Municipal Elections: Electoral Agreement between the PS and the MRC in Nice

Latest News

Patrick Allemand, the first federal secretary of the Socialist Party (PS), and Ladislas Polski, the departmental secretary of the Citizen and Republican Movement (MRC), announced today an electoral agreement for the city of Nice for the upcoming municipal elections. The two parties are scheduled to meet again to expand this coalition to other municipalities in the department.

Beyond the specifics of the agreement, which allocates 4 spots on the list, including 3 eligible positions to Jean-Pierre Chevรจnement’s party, Patrick Allemand praised “the spirit of responsibility and unity in this dialogue, which should serve as an example to all those seeking an alternative in Nice.”

Ladislas Polski enumerated the reasons motivating this alliance: “the situation in the department and in Nice with a dominant and caricatured right-wing that compels us to unite, as well as a shared vision on themes important to the MRC, such as the return of state authority because security is a value for both the left and the right.”
