The chances are slim, but the battle has been fought to the end, and hope remains: Lydia Schenardi, a candidate in the senatorial election, heavily banks on the voting booth effect… so that the “good” consciences awaken. This is where the major electors will cast their ballots… You will understand yourselves what that means!
In short, no red carpet, but well-scattered nails that, however, didn’t stop Lydia Schenardi from speaking “loudly and clearly” (as she claims) everything she thinks. This election would be the reward for the efforts made during a grassroots campaign with about twenty meetings, despite the obstacles (“a leaden cloak,” she says) encountered during her visits to small municipalities in the hinterland.
Hence, this public denunciation from her of Charles-Ange Ginesy, as a patrolling agent in Puget Thรฉniers, intimidating the elected officials of this municipality to attend the FN* meeting.
For Lydia Schenardi, the other competing lists in this election also find no favor in her eyes.
If the UMP’s list is dismissed with a subtle play on words (that without sound – she says about Dominique Estrosi-Sassone), it is also accused of being composed of “cumulards” in search of the Republic’s glories.
As for the others, the jabs are delivered to hurt: Jean-Pierre Lelleux allegedly left the finances of the city of Grasse, where he was mayor, in a dire state, with a 100 million euro deficit.
As for Olivier Bettati, the accusation is slightly more generic, but no less unpleasant: A reminder of a distant episode when he was the administrator of the Regional Tourism Committee, which led to his dismissal.
Finally, with the third victim of the candidate’s venomous tongue: The socialist Marc Daunis, accused of wanting to pass a law allowing resident foreigners to vote in municipal elections.
Last but not least, the mayor of Nice also got his share: His recent intervention regarding the new Nice prison (whose urgency needs no proving) demands, according to the FN representative, a clarification: yes, the prison is necessary – she affirmed – but it is not for the mayor of Nice to play a false role, that of the Lord of the place, since the decision will be made by the Ministry of Justice.
However, she is certain that the Plaine du Var option, widely decried when mentioned, should be reconsidered. The proof? For Lydia Schenardi, it is simple: The handover (โฆ between whom and whom?) of certain lands that could be revalued in this perspective.
Finally, Lydia Schenardi emphasized her determination, if elected, to oppose the drift she accuses both the PS and UMP of, all together.
By appealing to a sense of duty, she sounded an alarm: Not voting for the FN list means accepting the status quo of a consensual management between the two parties responsible for it.
On this occasion, the FN/RMB candidate received support from the honorary president Jean-Marie Le Pen, whose off-topic remarks regarding the upcoming Sunday’s senatorial election have no place in our comments.
His speech was pure JM-LPโฆ but does not improve with age!
