A new Ifop-Fiducial poll confirms the victory of the RN candidate Thierry Mariani in the regional elections, with the same scores as our June 9 poll. He would win the region following the elections, even if the left withdraws to form the so-called “republican front.”

This is indicated by the Ifop-Fiducial survey for Le Figaro and LCI, published Tuesday, June 15. Like the Ipsos Sopra Steria institute for France 3/France Bleu, Ifop-Fiducial places the RN candidate in the lead in the first round with 41% of the votes, ahead of the outgoing LR president Renaud Muselier (34%).

According to these two polls, which give him a strong lead, Thierry Mariani would win the region “in all scenarios.”

In a one-on-one, Marine Le Pen’s candidate would outpace Renaud Muselier with 51% of voting intentions against 49% for the outgoing president. These figures are identical to those given by the Ifop-Fiducial survey.

In a three-way race, Thierry Mariani would win more comfortably with 44% of voting intentions against 36% for LR and 20% for the Gathering of the Left and Ecologists.

Game over? Not for Christian Estrosi, whose tenacity is well known. Interviewed in Le Figaro’s “Talk,” the mayor of Nice showed unwavering confidence: “I am convinced that if we are in second position in the competition, we will cross the finish line first. As the days go by, there is increasing awareness that the regional community is not at all about security, it is not at all about illegal immigration,” he added. Not missing the opportunity to reproach Thierry Mariani, when he was Minister of Transport in 2010, for having “done nothing for the region.”
