After the national results known to all, a spotlight on the results in Nice and the Alpes-Maritimes.
The two most voted candidates in the azure capital are the two who qualified for the second round in the same positions.
It is the outgoing president Emmanuel Macron who is in first place with 25.13% for 38,313 (27.8% nationwide) followed by the National Rally candidate Marine Le Pen who obtains 22.39% with her 34,144 votes, close to the national 23.1%.
As on the national level, Jean-Luc Mรฉlenchon finds himself in third place, just missing the second round. The candidate from France Insoumise obtained 22% in total. A score close to the one recorded in Nice, which is 21.58% (32,905 votes).
After completing the podium, we have Eric Zemmour from the โReconquรชteโ party with 14.25% (21,730 votes), Republican Valรฉrie Pรฉcresse (5.10% with 7,777 votes), the ecologist Yannick Jadot (6,406 votes or 4.20%), Nicolas Dupont-Aignan from “Debout la France” (1.95% for 2,980 votes), Jean Lassalle (1.86% with 2,834 votes), the communist Fabien Roussel (1.63% with 2,492 votes), Anne Hidalgo from the Socialist Party (1.07% with 1,628 votes), Philippe Poutou (0.53% 805 votes), and finally Nathalie Arthaud (0.48% for 458 votes).
70.22% or 155,107 people from Nice voted in the first round of this presidential election, while 29.78% of the population of Nice, that is 65,792 people, abstained.
