Here we are at the end of the year, and it’s fair to say that Stockfish has been busy. Known for organizing numerous events for students, Stockfish offered a year rich in concerts and shows, and the audience was indeed present.
Thus, more than 13,000 spectators attended 29 concerts and shows, featuring headliners accustomed to touring the Zéniths. We can mention artists such as 47ter, Cut Killer, Martha High, and Yuksek for the first season. In the second season, we had the presence of Arnaud Rebotini, Étienne de Crécy, DJ Pone, and Pfel&Greem. And finally, Joeystarr and Cut Killer who will perform on December 10th, as well as Michel Jonasz on December 12th to close this season with a solidarity evening.
For this second semester of 2022, the City of Nice launched “Les Jeudis du Stockfish” in collaboration with Directo Productions. These are evenings specifically dedicated to regional artists, including Killian Allari x Yass Sogo, Le Môme, and Riff Tonic. Christian Estrosi entrusted Graig Moretti, Deputy Mayor of Nice in charge of Sports, Youth, and Equal Opportunities, with this year’s Stockfish programming. It turned out to be very eclectic, offering new tones and sounds to this cultural venue of celebrations and meetings, all in partnership with the main local live performance producers.
With most of its evenings accessible for 5 euros, the pricing policy of Stockfish proposed since its opening proves particularly advantageous. It should be noted that more than 3,000 euros from the bar proceeds since the opening have been donated to local associations (Secours Populaire, Une Voix pour elles, L’amicale des éducateurs sportifs, Téléthon, etc.).
This year, 2022 was full of emotions. The programming of Stockfish remains just as effective, as evidenced by the public’s attraction during these two exceptional seasons. Stockfish therefore invites you in 2023 for another year filled with even more concerts and shows that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression.
