2022 World Cup: An Easy Draw for France?

Latest News

Nearly 8 months before the official start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which will be held between November 21 and December 18, the groups for the group stage are now known.

It is well known that in sports you never know the outcome of a match in advance, and this is even truer in football. Thus, it is in this 2022 World Cup organized in Qatar that 32 countries will compete to bring the most prestigious trophy to their nations.

The draw that took place this Friday, April 1st, was led by the French international coach and player who has already won two stars for France: Didier Deschamps. As a bearer of good fortune, the draws, distributing the 32 selected countries into 8 different groups, turned out to be quite favorable for the French. Their group, Group D, consists of two European nations, namely France with Kylian Mbappรฉ and Denmark led by Christian Eriksen, an African team: Tunisia driven by Wahbi Khazri, and finally a remaining team to be determined which will be either Peru, Australia, or the United Arab Emirates.
A group that seems at first glance “easy” for the French, but they must be careful not to fall into the trap. We still remember France’s early exit against Switzerland in the round of 16 of Euro 2020, even though the French had all the cards in hand to win the match.

Until the competition begins, France will need a lot of training and seriousness to hope to win a third World Cup again.
