The candidates qualified for the second round of the 2024 legislative elections had until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, to submit their candidacy or withdraw.
In the 1st constituency (port, the eastern and central districts), it is a three-way race led by Ciotti. Indeed, the incumbent deputy still has the wind in his sails among the people of Nice who voted for him in the first round with 41.04%.
He is followed by Olivier Salerno (LFI/NFP) who garnered 26.62% of the votes. Finally, the Ensemble/Horizons candidate, Graig Monetti (22.79%) maintains his candidacy. He believes it is “essential to defeat รric Ciotti and the National Rally. We are the only ones capable of doing it by bringing people together.”
In the 3rd constituency (north of Nice), Bernard Chaix (LR/RN) who gathered 41.47% in the first round, and Laure Quignard from PS/NFP (27.24%) will compete for the deputy seat in this second round of the 2024 legislative elections.
Philippe Pradal (Ensemble/Horizons) had obtained 25.36% of the votes and also qualified. He announced in a statement that he was withdrawing.
In the 5th constituency (from the coast to the far north of the department), Christelle dโIntorni (LR/RN) was re-elected.
