2024 Olympics: Paris Unveils Its Logo

Latest News

The French bid made a significant impact on Tuesday, February 9, with the unveiling of its campaign logo.

In a strategy first used last June for the announcement of the bid, it waited until the symbolic time of 8:24 PM to project the logo onto the Arc de Triomphe, at the top of the Champs-Elysées.

The visual identity of Paris 2024 utilizes the most famous monument in the French capital: the logo in question achieves the feat of symbolizing the number 24 as well. This is a direct and deliberate reference to the centenary of the last Games held in Paris, in 1924.
.
It provides the French Olympic project with the identity its organizers sought: a bid focused on the future but rooted in its past.

At 8:24 PM on Tuesday, February 9, the Paris 2024 logo was also projected onto the façade of the Marseille city hall, the city chosen by the bid team for the sailing events and the football tournament matches.
