Saturday, on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique, Nice transforms into a vibrant open-air stage. From popular neighborhoods to subdued gardens, from children to night revelers, music is everywhere, in all styles. Prepare your ears and your sneakers: the city will dance from morning until nightfall.
Nice celebrates summer with music through a program as rich as it is eclectic: a giant karaoke in Ray Park, rock concerts at Théâtre de Verdure, intimate jazz in the gardens of Villa Paradiso, children’s entertainment, and DJ sets until dawn. Once again this year, the Fête de la Musique promises to ignite every corner for a day of sharing, rhythm, and open-air festivities.
A giant karaoke to open the festivities
Starting at 5 PM, Ray Park ignites with “Nice sings Europe!”, a giant karaoke that sets the tone for the evening. Residents come together to sing hits in French, English, Italian… It’s an open stage, a fun quiz about the European Union, goodies to win, food trucks, and a cheerful atmosphere that brings together all generations.
Children have their own Fête de la Musique
Earlier in the day, the youngest are not forgotten. At ML Kids (Saint-Isidore district), from 10 AM to 12 PM, it’s a celebration with giant mascots: Mario, Mickey, Daisy, and their friends greet the children in a colorful setting.
In the afternoon, head to Nice Valley from 2:30 PM to 5 PM: blind tests, musical games, surprises, and entertainment follow one another in the shopping center, where the celebration takes on the air of a mini-family festival.
Jazz and rock in the neighborhoods
Starting at 6 PM, Square Booth in the Pessicart district becomes a true open-air musical platform. The Little Conservatory opens the festivities, followed by a jazz-blues-pop concert with The Ray Jazz Class. Then the Midnight Ramblers shake the square with well-aimed rock riffs, before DJ Endrick turns the place into a dance floor at dusk.
Meanwhile, in a completely different setting, the garden of Villa II Paradiso (Saint-Roch district) hosts a jazz quartet at 5 PM for a subtle moment, almost suspended, in a more intimate atmosphere.
The Fête de la Musique by bike
The association Nice by Bike organizes the 3rd edition of DJ Set on the Bike. A festive and dancing bike parade in the heart of Nice. Launched in 2022, this event celebrates music, cycling, and the joy of occupying urban space differently. On the program: a colorful procession and an electrifying atmosphere guaranteed by DJ Katia Vonna, perched on a mobile stage.
Beyond music and celebration, this parade is an opportunity to remind that cycling represents another way to experience the city, more peaceful, more human.
The departure will be from the Maison du Vélo at 12 Rue de Suisse starting at 7 PM. The procession will head towards Place Pellegrini by 10 PM, where participants will be welcomed by local restaurateurs and shopkeepers to continue the evening with music.
The Théâtre de Verdure: central and eclectic stage
This is where the heart of the celebration in Nice will beat. From 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the stage at Théâtre de Verdure features local bands and moods:
Les Blondes, an energetic female trio, kicks off with edgy and elegant rock.
Benoît et la Lune then take us on a poetic guitar-cello journey.
Next, Glamory amps up the volume with hard rock inspired by the US scene.
Finally, Miss América closes the evening with a powerful and captivating blues-rock atmosphere.
Bars, clubs, and streets in a frenzy
Starting at 7:30 PM, the downtown streets flare up. Terraces transform into impromptu dance floors, local bands set up in front of cafes, and DJs take over in bars and clubs: DJ Leomeo, DJ Dante Trinita, DJess, or DJ High Heels keep Nice’s night pulsating until dawn.
