On Sunday, April 17th, the Nice International Half Marathon celebrates its 20th anniversary! 8,000 athletes will participate in the event. Let’s focus on the various activities…
20 years calls for a celebration! 4 different races are scheduled: the main 21.1 km race, the 10 km race, the 5 km “Niçoise” and the 2 km “P’tits Champions”. It’s the perfect opportunity to offer numerous activities throughout the weekend!
At the Running Expo Mizuno village (Jardins Albert 1er in Nice):
The comedy duo MAGIC ZIGOLOS will be present on Saturday, April 16th, in the late morning and in the afternoon on the Ligne d’Azur podium bus for 3 performances of 15 to 20 minutes. Children can also participate in a large free raffle at the 2 km P’tits Champions stand.
On Sunday, April 17th
Numerous activities will be provided at the start and throughout the event: Cheerleaders, Afro-Brazilian percussion and African songs, Nice-based bands, and not forgetting RTL2’s activities, the official radio of the event!
Solidarity
The half marathon is also an opportunity to commit to two major causes. Firstly, for breast cancer with the “La Niçoise” race which offers two options: a 5 km race format exclusively for women and a 2.5 km walk open to all. Secondly, for Japan, with the sale of over 3,000 T-shirts in the Japanese colors at the Expo Village.
One last piece of information: Marc RAQUIL, multiple French Champion in the 400 m, will start this Sunday in the 10 km of the Nice International Half Marathon! Marc RAQUIL, who already ran the Prom’Classic 10 km last January, completed the race in 36’59”.
