Monday, May 21, 2012, at 10 a.m., Mr. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, will present the Handi Mobile Equitation program, in the presence of Mrs. Laetitia Weale, President of the Departmental Riding Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes.
– Horseback Riding Now Accessible to Everyone
A two-horse truck has been equipped with a swiveling arm to allow a person to mount a horse directly from their wheelchair easily and effortlessly.
Co-financed by the General Council, this “Cavalev” system has been offered to the Departmental Riding Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes and will enable individuals with disabilities to participate in horseback riding at their specialized center, regardless of their disability.

Through its Handisport 06 plan, the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes aims to provide individuals with disabilities, particularly young people, access to sports activities thanks to specific programs such as Handi Equitation, Handi Sailing, Handi Tennis, Handi Ski, and more.
