This year again, the Alpes-Maritimes department supported the health project call for proposals.
Of the 37 applications received in the health field, 23 winners were selected for this 9th edition.
This 9th Health Project Call 2017, launched on January 20, aims to support outstanding projects that improve the prevention, detection, diagnosis, or management of diseases.
With a total amount of 1,736,402 Euros, 23 researchers and research teams received their awards from Eric CIOTTI, President of the Alpes-Maritimes department, and Professor Michel DUCREUX, oncologist and President of the Jury for this 9th Health Project Call.
On behalf of the PACA department, Eric CIOTTI first congratulated the winners for their research. “It is a general mobilization for the health of our citizens and it is our way to provide you with the necessary impetus,” he added.
These projects are spread across several domains, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases and disabilities, the environment domain, and e-health.
The 23 projects awarded by the jury meet the criteria of scientific quality, originality of the subject, choice of methods, competence of the teams, relevance of the offer concerning the health needs of the Alpes-Maritimes, and an adequate budget.
The health project call has been established since 2006 and has already rewarded 182 innovative projects.
