There are 24 athletes from the French Riviera (6 girls, 18 boys) representing French colors at the biggest international event after the Olympic Games.


The Summer Universiade is an international university multi-sport competition organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). It is the largest multi-sport event in the world after the Olympic Games.

It takes place every two years. The biggest names in French and international sports participate in the Universiades, which are considered a true springboard for the champions of tomorrow.

For this 28th edition, 21 sports, 10,000 athletes from 170 countries, and as many volunteers are expected in South Korea.

The 2015 French University Team is composed of approximately 340 people: 230 athletes, 62 technical staff, 22 logistical and administrative staff, 5 doctors, 15 physiotherapists, 3 FFSU representatives, 2 photographers, and 1 journalist.
