This couple ballroom dance competition, initiated by the Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes, was launched in February 2014. It is reserved for amateurs over 55 years old, residing in the Alpes-Maritimes department.
This 6th edition was presided over by the talented Fauve Hautot, a professional dancer and choreographer, and was presented by Julien Lepers.
It was the finals day: the top 10 dancing couples were selected during the qualifying rounds that took place throughout the year 2019. They competed in 3 decisive events: the TANGO, the PASO DOBLE, and the WALTZ.
This exceptional show was also an opportunity to discover Mariora CHEPTENE and Steeve GAUDET, a talented couple who are champions of France, Europe, and the World in sport dancing, who performed dance demonstrations between the appearances of the finalist couples.

Two couples received the special jury’s prize: Mrs. Nadine COATRIEUX from Nice and Mr. Lucien SOLERIEU from Menton; Mrs. Jacquie ROE from Beausoleil and Mr. Jean-Pierre GAROT from Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.
3rd prize: Mrs. Nicole PIRANI and Mr. Daniel PIRANI from Cagnes-sur-Mer.
2nd prize: Mrs. Mireille BLAIN and Mr. Vincent BLAIN from Peillon.
1st prize: Mrs. Christiane GIOVALLE and Mr. Daniel GIOVALLE from Nice.
