Latest News

This upcoming weekend, the Nice International Half Marathon will celebrate its 25th edition over two consecutive days! The Kenyans are the favorites to win the event.

This year, all eyes will be on Kenyan Kennedy KIPYEKO, wearing bib number 3 and the winner of the 2014 edition with a time of 1h01’31”, credited with a personal record of 1h00’39”.

The battle for the podium should also take place among his compatriots John LOTIANG and Richard SIGEI, who finished with times of 1h01’17” and 1h01’08” at the recent Warsaw Half Marathon and Copenhagen Half Marathon, respectively. Kenyan Samuel KARIUKI, winner of the last Florence Half Marathon with a time of 1h03’06”, could also cause an upset.

On the women’s side, victory is expected to go unsurprisingly to Kenyan Linah CHERUTO, who finished second at the recent Karlovy Vary (Prague) Half Marathon with a time of 1h10’22”.

As a reminder, the records for the Nice International Half Marathon have been held since 2012 by Bernard KOECH with a time of 59’57” and since 2011 by Edith MASAร with a time of 1h07’53”.

Towards a new participation record?

Attendance is not dwindling for this 25th anniversary; quite the contrary. The Haribo Niรงoise and Haribo Family Run events are fully booked once again, a week before the kickoff.

It marks a new participation record for these two events, with a combined total of 3,500 registered participants.
