26th Italian Cinema Days in Nice: 1st Garibaldi Prize

Latest News

For this 26th edition of the Italian Cinema Days, the Espace Magnan awards the best film of the Festival with the Garibaldi Prize, as a way to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italian Unification.

This Saturday, April 2nd, at 8:30 PM, at Espace Magnan in Nice, the Garibaldi Prize will be awarded. For the first time, as part of the event organized by Espace Magnan, a competition has been arranged (all films are in competition, except for La trilogie de la Vie and I nostri anni).

The big day! The day of the Jury’s deliberation (Jean-Claude Mirabella, Francesco Randazzo, and Patrizia Rappazzo), the closing of the public vote (5 PM!), and the awarding of the Prizes.

Without going overboard, striving to maintain the simplicity and friendliness of these Italian-style Days, the work of sculptor Serenella Sossi, the Garibaldi Prize, will be unveiled and presented to the winning filmmaker, who will join live via audio and video through Skype.

This will be followed by the screening of “Basilicata Coast to Coast,” a musical road movie, a bit quirky, filled with poetry and funny and touching characters!
