As the 55th edition of the Antibes Juan-les-Pins Jazz Festival Jazz à Juan concludes, it is clear that it has gained the trust and support of a vast audience. 28,000 spectators in the pine grove!
In just 7 ticketed evenings, Jazz à Juan 2015 gathered a total of 18,000 paying spectators (compared to 16,600 in 2014), which means a 93% average occupancy for paid tickets!
Taking into account the two complimentary and highly attended evenings (with a full house each night), as well as the seats reserved for sponsors, partners, and guests, Jazz à Juan welcomed over 30,000 spectators for this 2015 edition.
This edition also confirmed the festival’s strong international influence, with 36 nations represented according to our online sales data. For a fun fact, three new countries joined this year: Singapore, Jamaica, and Colombia.
Sales distribution is as follows:
– 62% of remote sales
– 12% of sales to works councils
– +25% “box” sales
– 8% sales at youth rates on available spots at this rate
Noteworthy is the encouraging success of a new combined ticket formula (over 400 purchases), as well as the Carré d’Or seats (with privileged reception).
Jazz Off: a real popular success:
With the two Jazz Off stages each day and an innovation this year (additional concerts in the small pine grove after the concerts at pine grove Gould), which hosted an average of 1,500 people daily, also with the Best Of Du Off evening on July 13 (more than 20 concerts offered in the city streets), along with the various musical events offered by partner establishments, not to mention the two daily parades of the marching Band “Batunga & the Subprimes” in the streets of Antibes and Juan-les-Pins, Jazz à Juan drew, at the very least, more than 50,000 spectators this year.
And already Jazz à Juan 2016!
Save the date! The next international jazz festival Jazz à Juan, the 56th edition, will take place from July 14 to 24.
In a prelude, Pinède Gould will host the grand ceremony of the Victoires du jazz 2016 on July 13, 2016.
