30,000 piggy banks distributed in the post offices of Alpes-Maritimes

As it has every year since 1989, La Poste is a partner of the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris – Hôpitaux de France, chaired by Bernadette Chirac, who calls on the generosity of the French by organizing the Pièces Jaunes operation. 30,000 of these piggy banks are distributed in the 138 post offices of the Alpes-Maritimes.

Since January 8, children can collect over one million piggy banks available in all post offices to raise funds that will then be used to finance numerous projects in the pediatric wards of hospitals and in youth centers.

In exchange for turning in the yellow coins at the post office, the children will receive a certificate, symbolizing their commitment.

It should be noted that for this 2014 edition La Banque Postale is also mobilizing all its clients with a call for donations through direct transfer to the Pièces Jaunes account via the secured client space. www.labanquepostale.fr

The donations will then be forwarded to the Banque de France, which is responsible for sorting and counting the coins.
