The Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur Metropolis is firmly committed to promoting sustainability. With great enthusiasm, it is launching the third edition of the Call for Projects “Antoine Risso: Heading Towards the Ecological Transition!”. This initiative aims to encourage local community initiatives in favor of the ecological transition.

For several years, the Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur Metropolis has been actively involved in promoting and supporting sustainable projects. The Call for Projects “Antoine Risso: Heading Towards the Ecological Transition!” provides a tangible platform for the population to contribute to this dynamic by proposing innovative and sustainable initiatives.

Theme Focused on the Sea

This year, the third edition of the Call for Projects is specially dedicated to the theme of the sea. Coinciding with the United Nations Ocean Conference to be held in Nice in June 2025. Therefore, the projects submitted for this edition must be related to the conservation of marine biodiversity, the fight against pollution of the oceans, or any other initiative aiming to protect and enhance maritime resources.

Applications are open to various types of candidates. Including municipalities, public or private educational institutions, associations, companies, and individuals from the Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur Metropolis. Eligible projects must be related to specific themes. Such as environmental health, nature recovery, and the circular, social, and solidarity economy.

Opportunity for a Sustainable Future

The selection of projects will take place in several stages, culminating with a jury presided over by Richard Chemla, Vice President of the Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur Metropolis in charge of ecological transition. The winners will receive support from the Metropolis in the implementation, design, and financing of their project, with a budget that can reach up to 8,000 euros.

To participate in this call for projects, candidates are invited to submit their application online exclusively via a dedicated form. This form is accessible on the Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur Metropolis website until April 7, 2024 inclusive.

This call for projects thus offers a unique opportunity for local actors to actively engage in environmental conservation and the construction of a more sustainable future for the region.
