The 3rd Musical Encounter of the Baous will kick off its festival with a Chamber Music orchestra, “The Seasons”. On Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 9 PM, the group, consisting of three soloists, Fleur Grรปneissen, Gautier Dooghe, and Pierre Fouchenneret, will perform the greatest hits of Bach and Vivaldi such as “The Four Seasons” or “Double Concerto.”
July 22 at 9 PM: A more intimate concert will take place within the Church itself. Two soloists, Pierre Fouchenneret on violin and Antoine Pierlot on cello, will perform works by Bach, Cassado, Ligeti as well as a Duo by Ravel.
July 25: This day will be dedicated to enthusiasts in a session “Dare the Music”, at the St. John the Baptist chapel. From 2 PM until 7 PM, classical music aficionados will have the opportunity to practice playing violin, viola, or cello.
July 27: At 7 PM, Fabrice Bibas, winner of the Brest International Piano Competition, will perform a sonata by Schubert in a 35-minute prelude. Then, the evening will continue at 9 PM, with a concert by cellist Maja Bogdanovic who will perform alongside the Magellan Trio composed of Julien Gernay, Pierre Fouchenneret, and Antoine Pierlot. They will revisit works by Rachmaninov, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky.
July 29: New prelude by Fabrice Bibas at 7 PM, this time performing Bartok or Chopin. A new concert is scheduled at 9 PM. It will bring together 8 great classical artists: Fleur Grรปneissen, Julien Gernay, Pierre Fouchenneret, Gautier Dooghe, Tristan Dely, Jean-Christophe Berger, Antoine Pierlot, and Maja Bogdanovic. They will delight us with works by Faurรฉ, Poulenc, Enesco and several of them will conclude the concert with “Souvenir de Florence,” a work by Tchaikovsky.
July 31: For the last day of the meeting, a prelude “Strings and Flute” will take place at 7 PM. Then a concert at 9 PM will close the festival. A String Quartet composed of Gautier Dooghe, Andrei Iarca, Jean-Christophe Berger, and Maja Bogdanovic, will perform “The Dissonances” by Mozart and “Langsamer Satz” by Webern.
