The new coach and manager of the French 3X3 teams, Karim Souchu, announced last January the list of 20 players summoned for a preparation camp and an international tournament in Bordeaux.
Having missed out on the Tokyo Olympics, the French 3X3 basketball team will gather from Monday, February 21 to Thursday, February 24, for an important preparation before the International Tournament that will take place at the Palais des Sports in Bordeaux on February 25 and 26.
The competition coincides with the international break. The coach of the French team took advantage of this to call up five players from Betclic Elite and eight players from Pro B. After the Bordeaux tournament, Karim Souchu’s team will participate in the 2023 3X3 Basketball World Cup from June 22 to 26 in Antwerp (BE) and the European Cup from September 9 to 11 in Graz (Austria).
The Nancian point guard Mathias Keita has been selected for the team and will represent the SLUC, alongside his two former teammates Jean-Fréderic Morency, who joined Lorraine as a medical substitute, and the former youth center player Medhy Ngouama.
