Université Côte d’Azur organized an evening to honor 4 athletes participating in the 2024 and 2026 Olympic Games.
This Monday, May 13, 2024, Université Côte d’Azur held an evening of debate and awards centered around high-level sports. During the evening, we had the pleasure of welcoming Stéphane Diagana, a former French men’s world athletics champion, now president of Nice Côte d’Azur Athletics.
Université Côte d’Azur aims to become a benchmark for high-level dual sports projects, allowing students to balance their sports practices with their studies. To achieve this, Université Côte d’Azur relies on the numerous sports facilities in the Alpes-Maritimes and offers comprehensive and personalized support for high-level athletes.
Students benefit from 12 academic advisors, as well as a medico-psycho-social team: a sports doctor, a nutritionist, a sports dietitian, a mental coach, a physical trainer, and a social worker.
Athletes Honored
During the evening, Université Côte d’Azur honored four athletes heading to the 2024 and 2026 Olympic Games. These four athletes studied and trained at the University of Nice:

She has won 3 elite French championship titles and is currently preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympics. She secured her qualification at the last World Championships in the Bahamas.
- Élise Marc, a bilateral amputee at the tibia following an accident in 2004, began practicing triathlon. She became the French, European, and World Paratriathlon champion, and aims to win an Olympic title in Paris.
- Jade Hovine is the Belgian Senior Vice-Champion and placed 26th at the World Championships in 2022. The figure skater dreams of winning a medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
