The national Olympic committee has unveiled the partial list of athletes who will represent France at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Four athletes from the department are part of the team.
Representing France:
In Alpine Skiing, Nastasia Noens (Douanes Inter Club de Nice) and Mathieu Faivre (Douanes Isola 2000).
In snowboard cross, Julia Pereira De Sousa Mabileau (Back to back) and Ken Vuagnoux (Back to back).
This brings the total number of athletes from the Côte d’Azur who have secured a ticket to Korea to five. Maxime Montaggioni, a snowboarder from Nice (Back to back), had already been selected last November for the Paralympic Games in March 2018 in Korea.
