As is the case every month, Netflix publishes on its social media the new films, series, and documentaries available on the platform.
Among the long list of new releases this June, here is a selection of those you absolutely must not miss:
Akira (1988): already available
Akira is a Japanese animated film directed by Katsuhiro ลtomo. Adapted from the eponymous manga, it envisions Japan in 2019, destroyed by a Third World War. Tokyo is now just a corrupt city, crisscrossed by rogue and drugged motorcycle gangs.
La Tour Montparnasse infernale (2001): already available
It is one of the most cult French comedies. The first film by the famous duo Eric and Ramzy, this movie tells the story of two simple-minded window cleaners who find themselves in the middle of a hostage situation in the Montparnasse Tower.
Nouvelle รcole (2022): already available
It is one of the most anticipated new releases this June. This series follows the concept of The Voice, but solely focused on Rap. Judged by SCH, Niska, and Shay, the new hopes of Francophone rap compete through different challenges to win the title of best talent and the sum of โฌ100,000.
Peaky Blinders (2022): already available
In 1919, in Birmingham, soldiers, political revolutionaries, and criminals fight for power and control of the city in the west of England. It is mainly the Peaky Blinders gang and its leader Thomas Shelby that are at the forefront of this war. Loved since its release in 2013, the series is one of the most popular on the entire platform. The 6th and final season has just been added to Netflix.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018): available on June 30
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is an anomaly in the series of films depicting the adventures of the web-slinger. Indeed, we do not find a Peter Parker in a movie with multiple special effects, but the adventures of Miles Morales, an Afro-American and Puerto Rican teenager from Brooklyn, in an impressive animated film.
