6th Toquissimes event, top chefs in university restaurants

Thursday, May 10, 2012, will mark the 6th and final gourmet rendezvous of the academic year for “Les Toquissimes,” featuring Michelin-starred chef Alain Llorca!

In addition to crafting the menu themed “Zest of Pep’s,” Alain Llorca will give a cooking lesson to the three student winners of the “A vous la toque!” contest.

The CROUS of Nice-Toulon and La Recette Magique are continuing their collaboration, which began in 2008, to introduce students to gastronomy in university dining halls. Alain Llorca, the Michelin-starred chef of the gourmet restaurant Alain Llorca in La Colle sur Loup, has created the menu that will be prepared by the university dining hall teams on that day. This is the first collaboration between Alain Llorca and the CROUS for Les Toquissimes.

The gourmet lunch (starter, main course, dessert) is offered to students at the price of 3.05 euros, equivalent to the cost of a student meal ticket.

Starter: Treviso risotto with red wine accompanied by a parmesan mousse

Main Course (choice of): Fresh salmon cooked with endives like a bรฉarnaise or Pork loin, caramel, peanuts, and vegetable stir-fry

Dessert: Pink grapefruit sautรฉed in honey
