Deeply moved by the attacks suffered by Nice and its inhabitants. This gentleman from the south of Rome joined the city of Nice to convey his city’s message of solidarity.


Originally from Latina, Roberto Di Benedetto, 47, got on his bike to deliver a message from his Mayor, Damiano Coletta, to the mayor of Nice, expressing his sadness and support for the city.

Having left Italy at 3 PM, after 700 kilometers and more than 70 hours of cycling, the man arrived yesterday around 3 PM.

The cyclist was received by Laurence Navalesi, municipal councilor, sub-delegate for cross-border relations, who admitted being “touched that someone felt the need to make such an intense effort to share this tribute to the victims” and thanked him “for this generous and comforting gesture.”
