On August 28, 1944, the day Nice was liberated, 32 people from Nice fell under enemy fire and 280 were wounded in fierce street battles.
On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of Nice, the municipality, represented by delegated counselors Jean-Marc Giaume and Olivier Robaut, will pay tribute to the men whose courage allowed Nice to regain honor and freedom.
Throughout this Memory Circuit organized in Nice around plaques bearing the names of these heroic men, a booklet of their biographies will be distributed free of charge*.
