Nice celebrates children’s rights from November 16 to 23, 2011. For the past 8 years, the city of Nice, around forty associative and institutional partners, UNICEF, and the CAF have organized a week of activities aimed at all children and their families, on the occasion of the International Children’s Rights Day on November 20.
This year’s theme is “the right to education”: about 60 activities, including around forty open to the general public, will be held in all neighborhoods of the city: writing, creative and artistic workshops, animations, storytelling, exhibitions, meetings, conferences, debates, quizzes, readings, shows, sports relays, film screenings, treasure hunts… Ask for the program!

The public, especially children and teenagers, will be able to attend screenings on the right to education followed by debates (CAL Las Planas and Maison des associations Garibaldi), participate in a sports relay (Promenade des Anglais), make origami for the children of Fukushima (Terra Amata Library), attend a conference on the theme “Internet and Me” (Maison des associations Garibaldi), go to screenings as part of “Cinรฉ Rรฉcrรฉ” (cinemas of Nice from 11/19), express themselves on the theme “Education and Gender” (Social Center “La Ruche”), discover the role of the Lenval inter-hospital school center – LโArchet (CAL Gorbella), etc.
Concert “Quelle classe!” by the children of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Opera Choir
To close the Children’s Rights Week, on Wednesday, November 23 at 3 PM, the children of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Opera Choir will give a free concert entitled “Quelle classe!”. They will be conducted by Philippe Nรฉgrel.
