The music festival Le Père Noël Monte Le Son, organized by La Baie Des Arts, a cultural and artistic association of EDHEC Business School, will take place for its sixth edition from December 3 to December 10, 2005. The festival’s concept is as follows: each spectator brings a new toy as their ticket, which serves as the sole admission to the concerts. These toys will be distributed the following week to disadvantaged children, orphans, and hospitalized children in Nice for Christmas. This year, we are pleased to distribute the toys alongside players from the OGC Nice football team.
The festival spans seven evenings, each promoting a different musical style and atmosphere. Spectators can look forward to:
– A classical music evening on Saturday, December 3 with the Voxabulaire ensemble at the Radisson Hotel at 7:00 PM,
– A Jazz night on Monday, December 5 featuring Jean Marc Jafet, Mathias Durand, and the squatters at Staccato starting at 8:00 PM,
– A “Son Latino” evening at Barrio Latino on Tuesday, December 6 at 8:00 PM with the Erisalsa orchestra,
– A pop rock night on Wednesday, December 7 at the Théâtre Lino Ventura at 8:00 PM with the V-cious, Manu Lanvin, and Matthieu Mendès,
– A Soul Music evening on Thursday, December 8 with Memories at Pacha K’fé starting at 8:00 PM, an Electro night at Hi Hotel on Friday, December 9 with DJ H-Tenza starting at 9:30 PM,
– Finally, a Progressive Rock night on Saturday, December 10 at 9:00 PM at Movida Tapas featuring Triiip and a guest band.
This year’s official partners of the festival include the City of Nice, the Grace de Monaco Foundation, McDonald’s, Orangina Schweppes, Éditions Séfi / Arnaud Franel, Nocibé, le Point Étudiant, Kiss Fm, and Caisse des dépôts et consignation.
