Association spaces, as everyone knows, cover 2000 m2 of permanent offices and meeting rooms shared between 12 ter place Garibaldi and 45 Promenade du Paillon, managed by the City of Nice.
Some years ago, the Senator Mayor wished to assist all small and medium-sized associations by providing them with a functional tool tailored to their needs. Associations can also find administrative, legal, and accounting support, free training; in short, a resource hub for hundreds of member organizations and others!
The return from the Christmas holidays on Monday morning was bitter for the permanent associations and employees of the Nice center association space who found their premises vandalized and stripped of several computer screens and other central units.
Not very smart, these thieves, who will not be able to use this equipment, missing half of the elements left on-site, and whose IP codes, if accessed, will allow the police to track down the users in no time.
It was not very smart of them to damage the tool of these associations that work all year long for the support and entertainment of the people of Nice.
The matter is now in the hands of the National Police, who have received the complaint from the concerned service and who, we hope, will be able to effectively find the culprits.
At 5:00 PM, after some elbow grease and the intervention of other municipal services, the site was cleaned and secured, ready the next day to welcome visitors and regulars with the biggest smiles.
