Rugby: Nice Becomes a Rugby Land Again…

Latest News

The 4th Rugby Baie des Anges tournament of the City of Nice will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2006, from 9:30 AM to 5 PM.

It will bring together 81 teams and 1,200 children across four age categories: under 7 years, under 9 years, under 11 years, and under 13 years.

In addition to many clubs from the regional committee, major teams are announced: Agen, Bourgoin Jailleu, Perpignan, Beziers, Toulon, Lyon, Aix, and Chalon sur Saone…

About fifty leaders are preparing this tournament to make it a grand celebration of children’s rugby. Numerous trophies will be awarded, including the “Marcel Dandréis” trophy named after our club’s founding president.

Surprises and entertainment will be part of the event.

Some trophies will be replaced by works of art, sculptures, and paintings, highlighting two artists from Nice.

Marc Andrieux, a former international rugby player, will come to promote his summer camps.

The new weekly ‘Rugby’ will make itself known and support our tournament. The newspaper Nice Matin and the website Nice Premiere will cover the entire day.

More surprises are expected.
