A group, a communal living community, has been permanently located at the site of Saint André de la Roche since 1956.
Emmaüs collects donations, sorts them, enhances their value, and puts them up for sale. The type of work undertaken as activity, not output, is an important factor in both the individual and collective human reconstruction of the companions of Emmaüs. This work also ensures the financial independence of the community, allowing it to be a force for advocacy and facilitates the implementation of solidarity actions.
The organizational structure is designed to maintain Emmaüs’s independence and allows it to preserve its freedom of expression.
On the occasion of its anniversary, Emmaüs invites you from Saturday, May 27 to Saturday, June 24, inclusive, to come and discover or rediscover, the actions carried out within the community.
Several afternoons are offered, on Saturday May 27, and Saturday June 10, punctuated by concerts on the village square of Saint-André on the evening of Saturday, June 24.
The agenda includes theater, dance, clown performances, music, permanent exhibitions, and poetry, featuring:
Cie Les Rats Clandestins, Cie l’Arpette, Cie Pou and Tic, ESB, 309 et des Pouffettes, Nux vomica, Sinké Zakéou, Les Bosinaires de Nissa, Yogi’s Parade.
It’s worth noting that all these festivities are free to make them accessible to as many people as possible!
