“It’s a love song, telling me about tomorrow”, that’s how one could define the universe of Joyce Jonathan. This young singer-songwriter made a name for herself on the web, particularly thanks to MyMajorCompany, the first participatory music label site. Through it, the young singer raised €70,000 in just a few weeks, enough to produce her very first album.
Joyce’s story is that of a child who composed her first song at the age of five. “It seemed completely natural to me, as natural as having guitar strings or piano keys at my fingertips. That hasn’t really changed over time,” she confesses. Joyce possesses an extraordinary artistic maturity and a voice that did not leave the great Louis Bertignac indifferent, who handled the arrangement of her album. An album that is halfway between folk and French chanson, set to be released next June.
